Sara Haskins was the Missouri high school state champion in both cross country and swimming. She attended the University of Tulsa on a track and field scholarship and graduated in May of 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Mathematics. She competed in her first triathlon in June of 2003 in St. Louis, MO. At the end of 2003, she was accepted on the 2004 Resident Triathlon Team at the Olympic Training Center. Sarah competed in her first professional race in May of 2004. Sarah secured the third spot on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Women's Team at the Hy-Vee Triathlon on Sunday, 6/22/2008.
