Jessi Stensland has been a professional triathlete since 2000. Jessi started competitive swimming at age 6. She went to The George Washington University on a swimming scholarship and was captain of the varsity team. In the summer of 1997, she decided to to try her first triathlon. Her career has been highlighted by over 20 wins from sprint to Half-Ironman distance and a 6th place at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials.
